The
Cybercafé which is run and managed by the Youth Partnership is open for
3 sessions for young people.
On a Monday afternoon session we would like to take the opportunity to open up this session to children who are in years 3 and 4. Please be aware that spaces are limited so it will be on a first come first serve basis.

Dates and times
Various sessions are available during the school terms for different age groups:
Monday and Wednesday afternoons for school years 5 & 6 (3.15 to 5pm)
Thursday evening sessions have stopped due to the low numbers of young people attending.
What does the Cybercafé offer?
Provides access to the internet together with various video games systems on Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, Game cube, Playstation 2 consoles and PCs.
7 fast broadband connected PCs
There are computer programs for editing pictures, word processing and other utilities.
Provides a drop in environment where young people from school year 5 upwards can meet up. Some drinks / snacks are available.
Benefits to young people
Able to meet up in the warm and dry, and generally socialise.
Access to information and entertainment via the web.
Enables greater computer literacy.
Cost of joining/attending
Currently no joining fee, but £1 per session with the money going to purchase new games.

What help is required from volunteers?
Volunteers to help run the sessions. Volunteers can use the equipment and access the Internet for free. If you are interested in helping out please contact Sam.
